The project

A pilot project within a government agency

This is a pilot project based at the offices of Niger’s Ministry of Water and Sanitation in Niamey. The choice of location is no coincidence: by deploying the solution directly within the leading institution in the water sector, Tx-H2O is demonstrating its credibility and commitment to the Nigerien authorities.

The system treats wastewater generated by the ministry's office operations and recycles it into a reuse loop for watering green spaces. A virtuous cycle—from waste to resource—that concretely illustrates what Tx-H2O advocates on a continental scale.

Reuse for watering green spaces Wastewater is treated there and then used to irrigate the ministry’s green spaces—demonstrating in practice the effectiveness and relevance of the solution in an institutional setting.
